Sunflower tang

I have had a very busy day in the kitchen today!

I made some cinnamon apple flax bread, almond parmesan, raw pizzas, and a wonderful ceasar-esque salad. The dehydrator has definitely proven itself today!

I started the morning off with a smoothie first:

Spinach, kale, apple, pollen, water, frozen peaches, and a banana.

Next up I put a salad together with the usual suspects, and topped it off with some hemp hearts and almond parmesan!

The parmesan is very easy to make:

2 cups raw almonds
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp sea salt

Food process all ingredients until it is a fine powder and then sprinkle on top of salads or raw pizzas!

The dressing used in the salad was a caesar type, with a sunflower base instead of cashew.

Sunflower tang dressing:

1 cup soaked for 30 minutes sunflower seeds
2 cups water
1/3 cup squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
3 tsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp sea salt
1.5 tsp dulse
3 cloves garlic
2 pitted dates
1 green onion

Blend all ingredients in high speed blender and enjoy! Refrigerate what you don't use.

I am extremely tired from all the cooking and working out today, so i'll post the dehydrator recipes tomorrow. Look forward to seeing some awesome raw pizza pictures!

Today's eats:

Breakfast: green smoothie + 1 energy date bar from yesterday
Snack: seaweed snack
Lunch: Salad with almond parmesan from above
Snack: organic apple + carrot parsley ginger juice
Dinner: raw pizza with zucchini and a raw marinara sauce
