This was really easy to make; the only recommendation I have on the following ingredients is to wash the lentils before hand.
Also: start cooking rice before you cook this :)
- 2 cups of red lentils (washed :) )
- 2 tablespoons oil or vegan butter (I used olive oil)
- 4 minced garlic cloves (I would have added more)
- 2 medium sized yellow onions (chopped finely)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 6 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cayenne (add more or less depending on spice preference, this measurement made it hot but manageable)
- 2 teaspoons salt
